I’ve been playing guitar for as long as I can remember, driven by a lifelong passion for all things musical. Teaching music is a genuine privilege, and nothing beats passing on that knowledge and enthusiasm to my students.

My musical education includes GCSE and A-Level Music, followed by a BA (Hons) in Popular Music and Recording from the University of Salford, specialising in Performance and Composition. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of studying under phenomenal guitarists, including Gary Boyle, Neil Smith, and Mark Lea.

I began teaching guitar in 1991 and have been working full-time in music education since 2002. Today, I teach across several schools in Lancashire, work with Bury Music Service, and offer private tuition. Thanks to my broad musical background and experience performing in diverse bands, I teach a wide variety of styles and instruments.

Beyond teaching, I regularly play guitar in pit bands for local theater productions and have featured on albums alongside Christian Madden (keyboardist for Oasis and Liam Gallagher)—check out the Spotify playlist to listen!

Outside of music, I love spending time with my family, following football, and devouring as many films and books as humanly possible.
